Safeguarding at TIS
At TIS, we are dedicated to safeguarding the well-being of our students and staff. We are committed to maintaining a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment where everyone is valued and protected.
TIS is committed to ensuring that all children exercise their right to education in a safe and secure environment that is free of distress, harm or violence. TIS upholds this commitment by ensuring relevant, effective safeguarding practices that focus on the prevention, identification and management of child safety.
As part of our commitment to safeguarding, all recruited applicants undergo thorough reference checks and background screening and are required to adhere to our Code of Conduct as a condition of employment.
What is Safeguarding?
Safeguarding is a broad concept that focuses on promoting the welfare of all children and preventing harm before it occurs. It involves creating safe environments through policies, staff training, and health and safety measures. The aim is to protect children from abuse, neglect, and exploitation while supporting their overall well-being and development.
Child protection is a specific part of safeguarding that deals with responding to cases where a child is at risk of or has already experienced significant harm. It involves taking action to protect children from immediate danger in situations involving abuse or neglect.

Safeguarding Policy
Our Safeguarding Policy follows international and local best practices to ensure that students are safe from harm. Our trained safeguarding team works closely with staff, students, and families to foster a culture of awareness and care. We provide ongoing staff training, clear reporting procedures and proactive support for students' physical, emotional, and mental well-being.
