Life at TIS [ TISでの生活 ]
School Trips [ 充実した校外学習 ]
At Tohoku International School, students are able to apply their learning beyond the classroom. Teachers lead field trips around the Sendai area,enabling students to learn and experience more about the region.
Community Outreach [ 地域と密着したコミュニティ活動 ]
Led by the Student Council, TIS students are active within the local community, organizing activities such as beach clean-ups and an annual food drive in which students collect and donate food and other supplies to those less fortunate.
ASA [ 多彩な放課後プログラム ]
An After-School Activity program is run throughout the year. Students are able to pursue a variety of interests, including activities such as Basketball, Gardening, Cooking, Film-making, Programming, Drumming, Yoga, Guitar, and Visual Arts. A school bus provides transport after ASA.

School Picnics, Sports Day, Halloween Festival, Arts Night, Christmas Concert, Homecoming, and many other colorful and fun activities are offered to students and members of the community.
Guest Speakers [ ゲストスピーカー ]
In order to broaden students' outlook, TIS regularly hosts guest speakers to enlighten students on global issues, social issues, and careers after graduation. Examples include lawyers, authors, professional musicians, scientists, journalists, business leaders, and professors of various disciplines.
