東北インターナショナルスクールへようこそ！

新しい学校への着任する選択をする際、私が真っ先に考えるのは、果たして私自身の子供が、その学校での環境を楽しみながら、幸せで独立心に溢れ、国際的な視野を持つ人として成長する事ができるかどうか、そして素晴らしいコミュニティの一員になれるかということです。初めてTISを訪れた時、私はまさに、世界を視野にいれ皆が一緒に協力し合う、小さいけれども大きく暖かい心を持った学校をここに見つけました。

TISは、国際バカロレア・プライマリー・イヤーズ・プログラム(PYP) の認定校であり、そしてディプロマプログラム(IBDP) としても認定を受けました。本校は、幼稚科から高等科までの一貫教育を行う東北で唯一のインターナショナルスクールであり、世界各国からそして英語での国際的教育を希望する日本人生徒を幅広く歓迎しています。仙台市からバスで通うことが可能でありながら、緑溢れる山々に囲まれた環境にある本校で、生徒達は日々自然の恵みを受けながら学んでいます。

本校は、WASC(Western Association of Schools and Colegs / 米国西部地域私立学校大学協会）に引き続き認定され、また日本インターナショナルスクール協議会(Japanese Council for International Schools) の加盟校です。TIS卒業後も、さらなる高等教育の機会を求める生徒は、世界中の大学に志願し成功しています。また本校の進学希望者合格率100%は、優れた教師陣と生徒達の献身的でたゆまない努力の証しだといえるでしょう。

TISの生徒達は、様々なコミュニティ活動計画に参加しています。その大きな一つが春のミュージカルです。このミュージカルでは舞台に立つ生徒のみならず、舞台裏、教師、PTA全てが一体となり、毎年１つの作品を全校あげて作り上げるプロジェクトです。また毎年この舞台は、仙台のコミュニティの多くの方々にも楽しんで頂いています。

本校は、その規模は小さくとも、大きな可能性を生徒に与える事ができます。

​​Welcome to Tohoku International School,

When choosing to take on a new role in a school, my first consideration is whether the school is somewhere where my own children can thrive, be happy and relish an environment that allows them to be independent, internationally minded and be part of a great community. When I visited TIS for the first time this is exactly what I found; a small school with a huge heart, where everyone works together in a global context.
TIS is proudly an International Baccalaureate school, accredited in PYP and now the IBDP. It is the only K-12 International School in Tohoku and welcomes both international students and English speaking Japanese students. A bus ride away from Sendai City, TIS enjoys a rural setting encased by mountainous greenery, allowing students to enjoy everything that nature has to offer.
Recently re-accredited by WASC and supported by the Japanese Council for International Schools, TIS graduates can enjoy global success with university applications when pursuing their education beyond TIS. Our 100% pass rate is testament to the dedication of our learners and teachers in striving to do more than they thought possible.
TIS students take part in many community projects, but the yearly Spring Musical is something that everyone can enjoy, whether on the stage or working behind the scenes. This has become a popular event in the Sendai community and gives the students an enormous sense of connection.
