Tohoku International School's Secondary School (Grades 7-12) is a dynamic community of learners exploring the world through diverse tools and experiences. Our curriculum includes English, History, Science, Mathematics, Japanese, Global Issues, Physical Education, and Arts (Performing, Visual, or Digital). Our dedicated EAL team supports students with limited English in our immersive classroom environment.

Exciting field trips and annual ski trips, as well as bi-annual domestic and international trips, enrich our students' learning experiences. Our Global Issues course challenges students to find solutions to pressing world issues, partnering with other international schools to raise awareness and make a difference. The Secondary School Program of Learning features courses in English, Mathematics, Social Studies, Science, Physical Education, The Arts, and Japanese Language, with computer technology skills integrated through the 'BYLT Program' (Bring Your Own Laptop).
